It's a beautiful day!

What a great way to start my day!

Woke up at 6.30am, but lazed in bed.. have been feeling rather lethargic, probably becos a bit grumpy from the twisted ankle... also, havent been sleeping well the past 2 nites...
actually wanna sleep in, weather was sooo nice... rainy... but forced myself to get outa bed.... gota reserve my annual leave for the festive seasons, else Ms Ng will get angry! Also, FX Soya Pte Ltd still have operating expenses to pay off!

Well, I got ready my cuppa hot Earl Grey & set to work...
1st, read the emails from my fellow FX "colleagues".....

Ok, must understand this. When I go for a course, I usually dun tok to pple 1, shy shy mind my own biz... finish the course, go back... though it was a 3 days refresher course & we see the similar faces.... I eat lunch n dinner on my own.... tea break go toilet hide, so I dun have to make small tok with any1.

So...it's funny how pple remb me....
"Are u the one who asked this question XXXxblah blah...."
WOW....i dun pay much attention to pple's face who ask question, not to mention their names cos we never have to self intro ourselves...
but we see each other's postings in the trading forum... our success or failure in our trades..... & we only know them by trader's name n batch number.... that's abt it....
Of cos there will be pple who wanna make "friends" cos they think that u are gd in ur trade n wanna learn ur way.... not sincerely make friends.... but the thing is,I am not even gd at it...yet... mayb cos generally i'm quite active in the forum... cos I am free mah, full time doing FX....

Ok, some possible reasons pple wanna befriend me:
1) they kinda figured that I am a full time trader... & they are one too!
2) Doing this full time can get lonely... I response to email very quickly these days... cos they prompt me when I am online and Duh! I am online all the time these days.. ok,day time lah!
3) I always joke with my fellow FX full time traders, we get Lonely n sometimes Looney... maybe they were getting Looney?

1 of my FX friends, Rick, calls himself the CEO of FX Rick Pte Ltd. He says that we are like colleagues now! Hahah! He is very thankful to his CFO (wife) supports him in his pursue as a Full time trader. He used to work for Hyflux Waters... last position Asst Vice President of Bix Devt... (Say: "WOW!"). today, he resides in Melbourne, Australia, with his wife, 2 kids & he trades from home full time since Jun this year. At the point of writing this blog, he's abt to prepare to cook dinner for his family, after finally doing some gardening with a nice Xmas tree...

Another friend, Nick, coincidentally is the same age as me, stays in the east too, attended the same Polytechnic and still occassionally goes to our old sch to swim... threw in the towel in Aug. He was working in the IT industry after uni graduation, holding a well paid job... but decided to rough it out like me, "do it or die" mentally...cool! I clique well with him...

Thru the forum, I also got to know Vinc, who's in his 50s, semi retired... he's probably in Aus, Melbourne, now, spending time with his 2 boys (1 studying, 1 married n working there) and wife. He's the guru of us all havent done this for a while already. Nice guy, very fatherly figure!

Today, there's Clim. Clim was the one who asked if I am the one who posed  the XXX question during the refresher course. He told me he was from the same course as me n calls me "Chocolate Soya bean". So I guess, he dun meet alot of girls who are dark like me......oh, & small world, he knows my FX trainer friend, AT also! He asked if we were old flame when I told him that AT and I know each other for a while liao. hahah! Havent seen him in person yet though.... msn pic is too small! hahha!

So total, these are the new 4 friends that I made since like ....last friday? that's an average of 1 per work day... not too bad... but do I really wan so many "friends"? which one of them are friends - really?
Uncanny, but FX trading seemed less lonely now.... but still it can be looney....

Sitting in the living room, raining cats n dogs outside, my kitties are snoozing like there's no tmr.... & me with a sore ankle.... my back is breaking from the long duration of sitting down... but hey!
I made some Mock $$ today.... gd record... =) happy! hard work paid off...more to come pls!
107 + 126 = 233 alone today! Thou fake $$, still happy!! Yay! finally broke 3 figure gain!

Tally for the week: 7 + 22+ 48 + 233 = 310pips this week for 4 days of working.... YAHOO!
My prayers for today...
*God, please help me to be more Patient with me trades... help me to be brave and take on the responsibilities of tmr to come... do not deliver me to evil greed... Amen!*

Thanksgiving Holiday mood - Mkt not moving!

Holiday mood siah! Plus duno why sleep never enough these days! Faint!

Woke as usual, looking for oppty to trade but alas - in midst of Thanksgiving in US, price not moving much!
Dilly Dally till 10.30am before I went out to buy stuff at central.

Spent alot of money again! ARGH!

Closed shop early today... my policy: no mood to trade, better dun trade! else sure suffer loss! hahah!
Need a nap!

Trading on the Go...

I got a stickies prog from zhornsoftware , it's like 3M Post-it-note, except this is free, not trial ware & sticks on your desktop/prog/documents!

Have been looking for 1 the past few days & I am so blessed, 2 days later the Strait Times Digital Life wrote abt it!

So now my desktop look like this:

I "Copy/Paste" biblical quotations & trading principle to guide myself... Must stay grounded, not greedy with profit... must have faith that His plans are for me to prosper! I update it every now & then from the church's newsletter subscription & read multiple times when I work! So far so good!

Went to meet Gary (my ex-colleague from bank) at the Tamp branch opp TP. Saw the Operations Mgr and some of the staff! Ok, I dun like this, but bo bian, have to PR abit lah!

"OMG! Soya! You are so dark now! What did you do!?"
"Heehee, how are u? Oh, i just came from a swim & the sun was Up & Cheery!"
"So what are u doing now? Found a job yet?""Erm... never go find job leh... relax abit 1st..."
"u left abt 2 months already right? Never find job!? Gd life lah! U upgrade be Tai tai liao ah! No need to work?!"
"No leh, nobody wanna marry me so cannt be Tai Tai... I wan to rest abit more 1st lah!"

I guess they also duno how to continue this conversation... I stopped just there & do not wish to explain further... I find it a chore to explain to pple what I am doing or rather what I am working towards... I feel that they will not understand... so I cant be bothered...

Finally after 1 whole week of hard work, my DEMO trading account (means using Mock $$$) is back in the Greens! PHEW! Jia yOu!

Wed Today:

I had abit of an adventure today... did my 1st trade using REAL MONEY! Hard CASH! $$$! Within 1.5hrs, I lost $61. Bleah... my hard earned cash! I took this as the "Baptism of FIRE", maybe all traders will go thru this?! I duno, but I will not give up!

Had another open position... so monitor it the whole day.... including when I left home to go for the exhibition! Decided to go for this exhibition since last friday, actually planned for tmr, but today decided to go!

Brought WangWang with me, fully charged and READY to fight the battle! Logged onto the Net throughout the journey... lost the connection when the train went underground, logged on again, kena logged out again... OMG! Faint!

I survived the MRT ride back with the office crowd! Hello Hello!?

Did you read correctly?! Soya squeezing with the Office Crowd?!

Yes yes, I did just that! Right smack at 6.30pm! OMG!

Luckily I managed to throw myself into the MRT carriage at Tanjong Pagar... half the crowd got off at the next stop Raffles Place & immediately a new crowd throw themselves onto the pple who were already in the carriage... in case you are getting confused her... just know that there were alot of pple throwing themselves onto other pple! PERIOD! OMG!

Anyway... I survived... & i just rembed one more reason why I am doing what I am doing now...

To work at a place, away - FAR FAR AWAY from these office slogger...

& of cos, my usual policy: Dun succumb to the norm, Soya! (i'll try as hard as i can k!)

I could never understand why these pple work so hard.... they start work at 8 or 9am... many of them leave the office at 8-9pm (mayb they stayed back to avoid the main crowd, or act busy, or claim overtime, or have company affair with colleague or boss.... watever the reason.... I just refused to believe that they are actually working!

C'mon! Kid me not! Work can never end! No matter how late you worked till, or how much you try to finish your work, when u come back in the next day at 9am - a ton of work will be waving "Hello" at you from your desk! So my working policy has always been this:

Work can never finish, the only thing that will finish faster is....YOU!

Either u die from working, or your boss decided that since u finished the work, you are not required anymore!

Either way - u are finished! So - never try to finish your work!

Work hard (when the boss is looking!), Play even Harder(when u have bribed ur boss's secretary)! keke!

I dun have a boss now, so I can bloody blog abt it.... those holding a job- dun try!

Anyway, I indulged in MacDonald's today... blimey! That's how bad my wallet is damaged from the meal...

1 Double cheese burger meal, upsize (so that I can have the Seaweed fries) + change drinks to Green Tea = $6.75! WTF! $6.75?! What happened to $5 MacDonald's meal man?!

As you have guessed, been a long time since i had Mac meal... ok, or rather I notice the price...it's crazy...

I must have the seaweed fries!

By this time, I was still watching the market... I realised that I cant eat french fries with my left hand... or at least I cant aim... kept missing the curry sauce & dip the fries into the tray instead! Bleah!

Went back, bathed & watched the market... enough is enough for today...

I closed the position.... tally for today -$61, +$50 = ($11)

Not too bad... at least cover the loss abit! Tmr will be better! YAY!

我可以的!

Still having terrible nights... insomnia again... Sat till now... it's the 4th day liao!

Was so fed up with trading that I shut down the computer & told Wangwang that:
"Let's take half day off from work today!"

Well, I think God's plan for me is to Impact as many pple as I can within the limited life span He has planned for me! & Doing the maths... it's more difficult to achieve cos on the average, I will have to impact more pple within a year & if I really break it down... that's more work God has planned for me!

But the Question is this: Have I impacted your life already?! What are you reading this blog entry... Have I done something for you? If not, tell me how I can do so! Quick! My life is too short! Kekek!

Anyhow, have been feeling damn lousy abt work... it's a tough week to work... I think I will declare a full week leave... lotsa news coming up after the 3rd Quarters earnings announcements, market volatility... etc... losing lotsa "Mock Money".

I remb some of the stuff a few close friends told me recently....

"Soya, I really believe you can do it... you know... I have faith in you!"
"Soya, i know it's tough, but that's what you are best at! You are a tough nut!"

"Loveling...你可以的!"

I really hope to live up to the expectations...
maybe it would be good to take a break away from work this week... "sharpen my saw" abit...

Refresher course + Keppel Bay

OK, this superb long weekend is burnt!
I am attending a refresher course for my trading workshop,
SAT & SUN 9-6PM, MON 5-8PM

But I am still happy & really looking forward to it!

Well, the course went smoothly, too early to say anything till I try it out...

My attention span can get rather short, must keep myself awake with some doodling!
