Attempted to go LONG on these two pairs.... timing was not right I guess.... failed trades....

After failed trade today.... hmmmm mkt is still unsure or am I unsure?!
Hahha!
Anyway, must still continue to do my work.... so diligence must not be compromised!

30-8-2010-AUDUSD-Long

-Price stalled for too long for comfy, check with other pairs also heading sound fiercely... decided to MC this trade b4 too late. Glad for the decision.

-Market was just not ready to move up yet.

-However, was not able to see the SELL set up for this pair... why so? hmmmm - cos road map is LONG!! Nevertheless, missed oppty is better than Wrong oppty!  

30-8-2010- EURJPY - POST MARKET ANALYSIS

- Have been trying to short this pair since last week but failed miserably.... price just not ready to move down despite being in a knwn BEAR FLAG. Check with my Sifu, price has hit a KEY Support, if closed above it, may do more retracement b4 attempting again...

-Yet I missed it when the 200+pips move came in yest.... ought to slap myself in the face. but on Hindsight n doing this Post Mkt Analysis.... knowing my style of trading, I will probably miss the wagon also lah. Not fast enough to jump in!

Is it time to go LONG already?

Havent been trading this pair for the past week till today... looking at the charts, most pairs are pretty much unsure of where to go....

mainly cos they have already tested the 1st bound (H4) ...so are they going to test the 2nd bound too? Of which is really tested and succeeded... then the D1 trend of Upflow (for most pairs - particularly GBPUSD) will resume.

So it's rather crucial now... my FX sifu alerted us that some pairs are start to show signs of resuming upflow... reason, they have been broke Key Supports and now went back up above Key Supports... most USD Pairs show signs of this.... with an ugly Double bottom on H4 (neckline is the 1st bound)....

Hence, I was looking for a possibly BUY set up for GBPUSD... see my fail trade below...

New log: Some losses to kick me for being complacent!

Started my new Trade Log 6 (6th cycles of 30 trades).... had some losses to kick me back to earth...
Kick myself for being too complacent, wrong entries and all...

The market is not too clear lately.... mkt has been in a consolidation zone, not to straight forward Horizontal zone type, but in the form of Wedges, Triangles or just random consolidation.... direction not so clear now esp when some critical levels were broken lately... price seemed unsure of where to go....

As promised, my EU trade is finally closed. Below is the result:

Think I was rather lucky to escape the spike up after the news.... I closed it off just 5 mins b4 news as I was too sick to monitor this trade....

Conclusion after 30 trades...

I concluded my 30th trade for the 5 cycle... finally...
Alot has changed for this trade log.... i went thru a string of losses.... and a run of wins...
most imptly i have learnt this....
My success rate/ratio may be 50% only.... but as long as my wins (avg dollar win) are more than my lossess (avg dollar lost).... I am doing fine!!!

Please see this Bar chart for my % return on my balance equity(total in my account). It's very little as I only risk an avg of 3-5%.

Wish me luck when I start onto my 6th cycle of 30 trades...

I have been avoiding trading the Yen Pair for a while now.. esp EJ which used to be my fav... my darling and also my enemy! hahah!

Anyway, after it finally broke outa the consolidation descending Wedge, i decided to go for it & the EU... fortunately and unfortunately, the EJ trade did well... but the EU is still stuck in position till now...  puiz puiz! Anyway, will post that once my position is closed....

These trades were very trying.... i guess mkt is unsure of direction again n going into consolidation. Until clear sign shows.... be conservative!!

-2nd try, mkt finally showed... but it was trying really hard... thereafter, mkt was unsure.

I m thankful i got away with a little bit. =D

Btw, mkt finally SHOW ALL HANDS n FEET on 18th... i was not free to trade... wasted! wuahah!

-Very tough trade... mkt not ready.... this trade was held overnite to much anguish!

-Finally decided to close it off!

13-08-2010 EURUSD n NZDUSD - SHORT

Happy with the 2 trades i did last nite.... though they were rather long trades... which is not really a gd sign. the fact that i have:
1) Protected some $$ in my pocket,
2) Shifted the Stop loss to my entry price (which means I cfm make $$ liao, just whether I can have more),
3) I have set SMS alerts to informed me in case price fall or rise to a level i set,
4) I have my Orange MePhone to monitor the mkt!  =)

But Alas, I was coaching swimming + having dinner with my adult students on Friday! I was a little concerned abt the mkt movement, esp when it's a Friday & most wanna close shop early!!

I am human afterall, besides making money, i wan to knw that I AM RIGHT abt the mkt!!! wuahah! so if I make more $$, means I am RIGHT!! Hear the Leo Woman ROOOOOOAaaaarrr!!! Wuahah!

 ok! here goes!

One of my fav pairs to trade whenever I have another open position.... reason: it's less volatile (of cos lesser potential rewards also lah)

Did 2 trades today... was rather pleased with the results...

I am very thankful for my current boss cum friend, Wendy. For I am able to focus on the student care n not monitor my trades too anxiously n over kiasu-ly...that had proved to be rather costly many times...

So usually i will go into the centre earlier than required... set up my lappy... do my analysis of the mkt... by then it will be abt the time I am supposed to start work....
leave lappy on... occassionally take a glance at it... do my other student care centre work (this helps me to not enter too anxiously or eagerly)... if i have decided to enter a position, i will set the alarm alerts n continue to do my work... quick glance at it every once a while....mayb e very 15-30mins once....

See my 2 trades.... sifu says it's a gd trade & he wld have entered it exactly how i did.... so i am very pleased to have zero-ed my enter with his.... still need to work on the way i manage my trades though!

Both were decent winning trades.... happy =)

Havent trade for a long while... was busy helping Wendy with her centre.

Will be more diligent when doing my post analysis on the trades that I have done... posting it will keep me on my toes... better dun anyhow post... will try to post all my trades, including the losing ones too...
